According to the public relations and international affairs report of the Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, Yaqub Ali Nazari, in a meeting held on the sidelines of this visit, referring to the economic and infrastructure programs in the Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, said: In this visit, problems were raised and decisions were made to solve them so that the relevant units could continue their activities with more strength.
He considered the transformation of Ferkhes Special Economic Zone into a free trade zone as a positive event for the benefit of the people and stated: All economic plans are implemented with a view to the people and in the direction of serving the public.
He continued: Currently, after the approval of the bill to transform this area into a commercial free zone in the Islamic Council, we are waiting for its notification to the government to determine the relevant regulations and instructions according to the laws of the free zones.
He added: We hope that the whole country, especially the people of Razavi Khorasan and Sarkhes city, can benefit from this capacity by speeding up the preparation and communication of these instructions by the government and relevant officials.
He noted about the impact of the realization of this task on the rail transit of Ferkhes border: With the establishment of a free trade zone in Sarkhes, we will witness the arrival of more domestic and foreign investors and as a result increase employment and development of activities and infrastructure.
He continued: Based on these needs and in parallel with the investments, the implementation of infrastructure projects including water, electricity and roads will be on the agenda.
Synergy of executive devices to solve problems
In this meeting, the CEO of Sarkhas Special Economic Zone also made requests to the governor of Khorasan, Razavi, that the allocation of 18 megawatts of electricity for production units located in the region was one of these cases, which was agreed to by the governor’s order to the director general of electricity in the province.
Mohammad Reza Kalai said: Due to the drought in recent years in the country, we are facing problems such as reducing water resources to supply water needed by production units in the region.
He continued: For example, Iranian Petrosorkhs is one of the factories that will be launched in the near future and needs a lot of water, and in this regard, the governor of Khorasan Razavi gave the necessary instructions to the director general of regional water.
The CEO of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone pointed out the importance of customs activities in this city around the clock. According to last year’s visit of Iran’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Customs, Ebrahim Naqdi, the 24-hour activity of Sarkhs Customs was brought up, and now, by the governor’s order, it has been decided that this task will be realized within the next month.
He continued: In this way, Sarkhas customs border will be the first border in Razavi Khorasan, which will operate around the clock after the consolidation of customs in the special economic zone.
