According to the report of the Communication and Media Department of Endowment Productivity Foundation, quoted by Sobh Tos news site; Javad Jafari, supervisor of Khorasan Razavi customs, during a visit to the Sarkhes special economic zone and its customs infrastructure in a working meeting with the CEO and chairman of the board of directors of the Sarkhes special economic zone and the governor of Sarkhes city, said: The priority of the customs in the special economic zone of Sarkhes and the country’s view on trade is to pay attention to the neighboring countries and the important area of Central Asia.
Jafari stated that Sarkhes Special Economic Zone can play a key role in the development of exports due to having suitable infrastructure. The Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, benefiting from all the facilities at its disposal, uses all the capacities to strengthen the export and transit of goods with the view of export-oriented production, and I must say that Ferkhes Special Economic Zone has a transnational and effective role in these relations and the development of exchanges with cis countries.
Referring to the need to facilitate customs affairs and export development, he emphasized: Fortunately, in Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, special attention has been paid to strengthening logistics infrastructure and attracting private sector investors, and rail sites with the capacity to connect the Central Asian Broad Rail to the site of the region have resulted in an increase in loading and unloading capacity.
Khorasan Customs Supervisor Razavi enumerated the realization of the One Belt One Road project in line with the revival of the Silk Road, which is being pursued by the Chinese, which has led to an increase in employment and economic prosperity of the region and the province and stated: With the railway connection of the East Corridor, the transnational role of the Fern region has been highlighted, and I must say that this region is an important export center in the country.
Jafari pointed out that the Customs of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone offers more facilities. Due to the fact that special and free zones have been created to attract investors and are outside the customs territory, Iranian customs have provided the most facilities in these zones and there are no cumbersome rules in these zones.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone Institute, in this meeting, while appreciating the honest services of the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the past years, said: The positive interaction of customs with this region for the prosperity of transit and exports has had a significant impact in reducing the impact of oil sanctions, and we hope that this cooperation will continue in 1401.
Mohammadreza Barhamand added: Last year, about 350,000 tons of goods were transited and exported through this area, which would not have been possible without this cooperation and positive interaction between customs and the petrochemical industry.
He stated: With the planning and the strengthening of the railway infrastructure, export indicators from this region will soon increase significantly, and we are aiming to increase this figure to 1.5 million tons this year.
