He continued: A very good visit was made today and the parties reached an agreement on several issues that in the next few days, in the presence of Khorasan Governor Razavi, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between Sarkhs Special Economic Zone and Free Zones of Tajikistan.
Facilitating investment in special and free zones of Iran and Tajikistan

Development of goods transit through the fern route
Pointing to the importance of developing commercial activities and goods transit through Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, he said: Considering that this region is the golden gateway to enter the countries of Central Asia, its capacities should be used to help the development of exports and imports as well as the economic prosperity of the country.
Brahamand continued: Since cotton and barley are among the most important export products of Tajikistan, as well as two strategic goods for Iran, part of the country’s needs can be met through imports from the Sarkhes border.
He added: We are trying to make this border known as the entry gate of strategic products to the country through the import of basic goods from the Sarkhes Special Economic Zone.
Taking advantage of the experiences of two countries to build large logistics centers

He continued: In addition to using each other’s experiences in building joint factories and large logistics centers for importing and exporting products between the two countries, we can also make deep investments.
Sarkhes, the best region for importing gas to Tajikistan
Mustafa Rostam, expressing his surprise at the facilities and infrastructure available in Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, noted: In addition to many logistics infrastructures, this region has mines and energy resources that can be used in the best way by working together.
He continued: During the past years, the Republic of Tajikistan has sought to connect and communicate with an area that has gas and oil resources so that it can use it to import gas and fuel materials to Tajikistan.
Mostafa Rostam considered Sarkhes Special Economic Zone to be the best place to import gas and fuel to Tajikistan and said: Tajikistan also has resources that export its products mostly in raw form, if we can use each other’s experience to build factories jointly to avoid raw sale.
