The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone stated in an interview with our reporter: The construction of this terminal is being done by the Middle East Wagon Supply Chain Company as a private sector, and with the launch of this private site, loading and unloading of export and import cargo as well as transshipment (transfer of goods from one vehicle to another vehicle) and movement of all types of cargo. It is done from Iranian and European wagons to Russian wagons and vice versa.
Mohammadreza Barhamand said: In addition to unloading and loading containers, it is also possible to store goods in this site.
Referring to the construction of wide and normal railway lines in the vicinity of each other in this project, he said: One of the main advantages of Sarkhs Special Economic Zone is the entry of Central Asian railway lines into the region, which has reduced costs and accelerated the process of unloading and loading goods in this region compared to other regions.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone announced the amount of investment in the construction of the unloading and loading terminal at 200 billion tomans and said: By using its first phase, 40 people will work directly on this site.
He considered the increase in smoothness in terms of export, import and transhipment of goods as another advantage of the construction of this terminal in the region and added: The land of this site has been provided to the investor with excellent conditions, and all the construction operations of the railway site are being carried out by the private sector.
Brahamand continued: One of the policies of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone is the privatization of unloading and loading operations, in this regard, the region has prepared the conditions for the investment of large domestic and foreign transportation companies by providing infrastructure and facilities.
