The CEO of Sarkhes City Cotton Gold Cooperative stated: The nominal capacity of this factory is 25,000 tons per year, but due to the seasonal activity of the factory, it is operating with a capacity between 2,500 and 3,000 tons.
Reza Ansarinia said: In the Fern cotton ginning factory, the processing of cotton wool and turning it into milled seeds is done, and by doing this process, the cotton obtained is pure and free from any kind of waste.
He noted about the strengths of this factory: Among the most important advantages of the cotton processing factory located in the special economic zone is its proximity to Sarkhes city, the availability of the farmer and the factory, the elimination of middlemen and brokers, and the direct delivery of cotton by the farmer to the factory, thus reducing the cost of transportation to other parts of the country.
Excessive import of cotton
Referring to the 30% decrease in cotton cultivation in Sarkhes compared to last year, the CEO of Sarkhes County White Cotton Cooperative said: One of the most important reasons for this issue is the excessive import of cotton.
He continued: Of course, with the same conditions, this year 2000 hectares of the city’s lands were allocated to cotton cultivation, which due to the extreme cold of last winter and the disappearance of some pests, the harvest efficiency per hectare has increased significantly and there is a lack of cultivated area. This product has been compensated.
Nia Ansari added: It goes without saying that the cotton produced in Sarkhes is one of the best types of cotton in the country.
He also announced the timely payment of cotton farmers’ demands and added: Within 24 hours after the farmer delivers the cotton to the factory, the farmer’s claim is deposited into his account.
Increasing productivity with factory overhaul
Ansarinia noted about the measures taken to increase productivity in this factory: Every year after the end of the seasonal work, the overhaul operation of the factory is carried out, which is all done under the supervision of the agricultural jihad of the city.
He continued: Currently, 30 people are working directly in this factory.
