According to the public relations report of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, Ehsan Jalair continued: In this regard, two trains containing 59 coal wagons have entered this region from Russia and are going to be exported to India.
According to him, every year more than 1.5 (one and a half) million tons of coal is transited from Russia to India, which was not done through the Iranian route before and was done through the sea.
The Economic Vice President of Ferkhes Special Region said: According to the negotiations with Russia, it has been decided that a part of this product will be moved by rail through the Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, which can bring a very good foreign exchange income for the country.
Transit of more than 282 thousand tons of goods since the beginning of 1403 Jalair added: Since the beginning of this year, more than 282 thousand tons of goods have been transited through the railway and road lines of Sarkhes border, which has grown significantly compared to the same period last year.
He also stated: During this period, all kinds of hydrocarbons, foodstuffs, all kinds of construction materials, petrochemicals, detergents and sanitary materials, rebar, etc. have been transited to the CIS countries through the Sarkhes Special Economic Zone.
It should be noted that Sarkhs Special Economic Zone is the largest zone with a combined rail, land and air transit approach in the country and the only zone in Iran that includes both wide and normal rail tracks and so far about 50 km of rail tracks have been built. It has created a border in the region up to the zero point.
