Fern special economic zone, a new gateway for the import of livestock inputs / targeting for extraterritorial cultivation in Kazakhstan

The presence of Fern Special Economic Zone in the special exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Kazakhstan, had significant achievements, one of which is in the field of providing livestock inputs and extraterritorial cultivation.

According to the Communications and Media Department, the special exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from July 11 to 13, and Sarkhas Special Economic Zone, as a subsidiary of the Astan Quds Razavi Endowment Productivity Foundation, tried to present the capabilities of this exhibition. In an interview with Astan News, Dr. Arash Farzadenia, CEO of Razavi Animal Husbandry and Dairy Industries, said: Simultaneously with the holding of the Almaty exhibition and following the joint meeting we had with the Iranian ambassador in Kazakhstan, from now on, livestock inputs will enter the country through the railway lines of Ferkhes Special Economic Zone, and considering that the barley harvest season in this Kazakhstan will be in September. was, the necessary measures for the import of this livestock input are being carried out. Farzadenia continued: The main purpose of importing inputs through Fern border is to be able to introduce Fern special economic zone corridor for importing livestock inputs in the country and create a new international arena for the import of this required product. Stating that the realization of this goal will be the beginning of the development of economic prosperity in Sarkhs Special Economic Zone, he said: Currently, livestock inputs from Kazakhstan and through the port of Aktau enter the ports of Amirabad and Anzali by ship, according to the agreement, from now on, Sarkhes Special Economic Zone will be the new entry gate for these inputs.

Targeting for extraterritorial cultivation of barley and wheat

The Managing Director of Razavi Animal Husbandry and Dairy Industries Company identified the suppliers of livestock inputs as well as the way of participation and investment for extraterritorial cultivation among other issues that were raised in this meeting. He also said about Kazakhstan’s situation for extraterritorial cultivation: Considering the weather conditions of Kazakhstan and the abundance of water, according to the negotiations, we are trying to grow crops such as barley and wheat in this country and import them to Iran.
