Joint economic cooperation between Sarkhes Special Economic Zone and Turkmenistan will be developed

Sarkhs Special Economic Zone, which had attended the exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, with the aim of introducing its capacities to attract Turkmen investors and establish a relationship between businessmen and investors of the two countries, ended its work by forming joint economic teams.

According to the Communications and Media Department, in this three-day exhibition, which was held with the presence of high-ranking managers of Iran and Turkmenistan, the synergy solution between those involved in the field of logistics and transportation of Turkmenistan and Sarkhes Special Economic Zone was examined.

Formation of joint economic teams

The investment manager of Sarkhas Special Economic Zone considered the most important achievement of this institution’s presence in the exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan to be the creation of joint business and economic teams with Turkmen investors and stakeholders and said: Currently, several meetings have been held in order to develop joint cooperation.

Yasser Nikparast continued: Due to the fact that until now, limited delegations from Iran, especially Sarkhs Special Economic Zone, have communicated with Turkmen businessmen, this exhibition was considered a very good opportunity for the other party to get acquainted with the capacities of the region.

Referring to the establishment of bilateral relations between a number of businessmen and those involved in the field of transportation in Turkmenistan, he said: These connections in the future can lead to the conclusion of very good contracts for the region and foreign exchange for the country.

Nik Parast continued: According to global developments, the issue of activating the North-South and East-West corridors in the country through the Sarkhs Special Economic Zone has received attention in recent years, therefore, creating a positive interaction with Turkmen partners can contribute to prosperity. economic and more activation of this corridor to have an effective role.

He added: In this regard, negotiations have been held with the government and railway managers of Turkmenistan, as well as the economic activists of this country, and both sides emphasized the effort to activate these crossings by creating suitable facilities for investors and goods owners.

Referring to the consultations held with investors and companies active in the field of transportation in Turkmenistan, Nik Parast said: In this regard, the draft of several memorandums is being prepared, which will be signed by both parties after the final stages.

He continued: In this exhibition, Turkmen investors were also officially invited to get to know the infrastructure and facilities available for investment by attending the Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, which was welcomed by the other party.
