According to the public relations report of Sarkhas Special Economic Zone, Mohammad Reza Kalai stated that this happened after 26 years of waiting for the people of the northeast of the country. The luck of foreign investors and the increase of more than twenty times of investment in the region during the past one year has provided Zambaneh for the realization of this resolution and the activation of China’s East-West Corridor to Europe and Russia’s North-South Corridor to the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea.
He also added: The number of wagons entering and leaving the Sarkhes special economic zone has increased from 280 to 7300 in 1401, and currently more than 80% of the country’s rail transit is done through the border of Sarkhes.
The CEO of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone pointed out other measures taken in this direction and said: The number of killers exchanged between Sarkhes and Turkmenistan in 1401 has reached 167,000 devices, which has increased fivefold compared to the same period. He added that in the near future, we are working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran to carry out the operations of Ferkhs customs around the clock.
It is worth mentioning that the Special Economic Zone of Sarkhes was established with the approval of the Supreme Council of Free Zones in 1375 at the zero point of the border with Turkmenistan and near the city of Sarkhes. Also, based on the approval of the Council of Ministers, Astan Quds Razavi has been designated as the responsible organization of the region.
