Synergy for the development of the eastern axis, the chairman of the board of directors of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone emphasized the privileged role of the two regions in the development of the eastern axis. According to the strategic plan of the government looking to the east and the basic development strategy of the eastern axis, which has a privileged role in the regional, national and transnational economy, the parties will take action to identify target markets, carry out advertising activities and exchange information through the creation of an information bank for joint exhibitions and conferences inside and outside the country.
Mohammadreza Barhamand said: The two regions also agreed on the formation of a consortium or the establishment of a joint company in cooperation with the Makran Coastal Development Council and the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Special Economic Zones located in the eastern axis. He continued: In this regard, the cooperation of private sector transport companies in the Chabahar-Sarkhs transit axis and the capacities of the Chabahar free zone license plate will be used for traffic between the free and special economic zones in this axis.
Brahmand considered the Chabahar Free Zone to be the most important water gate in the east of the country and added: On the other hand, Sarkhes Special Economic Zone is considered as the most important land gateway to Central Asia.
He called the creation of investment opportunities through the provision of special facilities for active investors in the two Chabahar Free Zones and the Sarkhes Special Economic Zone as one of the agreed issues.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ferkhes Special Economic Zone continued: In addition, the parties agreed to activate the representative office or desk in each other’s regions by providing the appropriate location and facilities.
Emphasizing the need for synergy and joint cooperation between Chabahar Free Zone and Sarkhs Special Economic Zone, he noted: Considering the special situation of the two regions regarding the development of the eastern axis, a joint executive committee will be formed.
Referring to the existence of international airports in Sarkhes and Chabahar, Barhamand said: In order to expand the cooperation through a joint committee, the necessary investigations for the operationalization of the connection between the two regions will be followed closely.
He continued: In addition, it was agreed that with Chabahar Free Zone as the focus, the parties should take the necessary measures to activate the license of 1000 trucks to travel in the east axis corridor between Chabahar-Sarkhes.
