Mohammadreza Barhamand, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone, stated in a conversation with the Communications and Media Department: In this exhibition, which starts tomorrow in Tehran, attracting foreign investment in the field of transportation and logistics is also on the agenda of this region.
He continued: In this exhibition, in addition to the introduction of the capacities, the investments made in the Fern Special Economic Zone, especially in the past year, such as the investment of 400 million yuan by the Chinese for the construction of the Fern International Logistics Park, the construction of a sulfur processing town with the participation of a Turkish investor, the construction of a coal transit site and Russian fertilizer and… will be provided.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone added: By participating in the transport and logistics exhibition, which is held with the presence of domestic and international companies and institutions related to this industry, we are trying to encourage businessmen, merchants and large domestic and international transport companies to be present and operate in the region.
Concluding the country’s first logistics research institute in Sarkhes on the first day of the exhibition
He called the conclusion of the first memorandum of understanding for the establishment of the country’s logistics research institute in Sarkhes as one of the programs of this region at the Tehran Transport and Logistics Exhibition and added: On the opening day of the exhibition, which will be held with the presence of the first vice president, a memorandum of understanding titled “Silk Road” will be signed for the construction of a logistics research center between the region and the University of Science and Technology.
Brahamand continued: According to the plans of Sarkhs Special Economic Zone for active participation in the exhibition, the second day will be dedicated to Sarkhs.
He added: Also, following the negotiations with the Secretary General of ECO and the ambassadors of Russia and India in Tehran, the representatives of ECO and the embassies of Russia and India are scheduled to visit the booth of Sarkhes Special Economic Zone at the Tehran Transport and Logistics Exhibition.
It should be noted that the 6th International Exhibition of Transportation, Logistics and Related Industries will be held from December 27 to 29 this month at the same time as Transportation Week at Imam Khomeini Shrine in Tehran.
