According to the public relations report of Sarkhs Special Economic Zone, Amir Moghadam said in the specialized meeting “Eastern Corridor, the communication route between Afghanistan, Iran and the Indian Ocean” that was held yesterday afternoon in the form of the specialized conference “Activation of the Eastern Corridor and Axis”. In order to develop the East Corridor, we must pay attention to the importance of strong economic activity in this corridor while making the corridor economic and along with its passage.
He added: Raising the challenges and concerns of the activists in this area and trying to solve these issues, which can be seen in different dimensions of transportation, customs, commercial, etc., requires the holding of specialized meetings in different dimensions with relevant and important expertise for the corridor.
Moghaddam continued: In order to solve problems and develop activities in the Eastern Corridor, we also need to conclude and implement memorandums of understanding with the chambers of commerce of Iran and Afghanistan.
He spoke about the importance of the eastern belt of the country and the connection between free zones and special economic zones and demanded to identify points of view, development ways and create more and better plans to achieve the goals.
Moghadam considered the presence of businessmen and economic activists in Chabahar as a suitable ground for strengthening projects in this area and added: The establishment of private sector associations and working groups in the regions is one of the ways to develop cooperation along with the provided platforms.
It is worth mentioning that, on the sidelines of this meeting, in line with the expansion and development of business relations with Afghan investors, a 5-way memorandum was signed between Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber, Chabahar and Sarkhs Free Zones, South Khorasan and Dogharon Special Zones.
